MatalaFODMAP

MatalaFODMAP is a diet that restricts certain types of carbohydrates that are poorly absorbed by the small intestine. FODMAP is an acronym that stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides, and Polyols. These short-chain carbohydrates can draw water into the intestines and are rapidly fermented by bacteria in the large intestine, leading to gas production.
