Mankiw

N. Gregory Mankiw is an American economist and professor of economics at Harvard University. A leading macroeconomist, he is known for his research on monetary and fiscal policy, price stickiness, and economic growth, as well as for his widely used introductory economics textbooks.

Mankiw earned his B.A. in economics from Princeton University and his Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has taught at MIT and Harvard, and has served as the chair of the Council of Economic Advisers under President George W. Bush, where he advised on national economic policy.

He is the author or co-author of several popular textbooks, including Principles of Economics, Principles of Microeconomics, and Principles of Macroeconomics; these works are frequently used in undergraduate courses worldwide. He has contributed to macroeconomic theory and public policy through research articles in leading journals and through public commentary, op-eds, and a widely followed economics blog.
