Mandya is a district in Karnataka, India. Administrative headquarters is Mandya city. It is part of the Mysuru division and lies in southern Karnataka on the Cauvery river basin.
The district spans the Cauvery valley and is characterized by intensive agriculture supported by irrigation. The
Mandya district is divided into seven taluks: Mandya, Maddur, Krishnarajpet, Srirangapatna, Pandavapura, Nagamangala, and Malavalli.
