Lelecció

Lelecció is a nonstandard spelling that occasionally appears in informal writing as a mistaken variant of the Catalan noun elecció, which means election or selection. The normative Catalan form is elecció, and lelecció is not recognized as a correct or separate word in standard dictionaries or style guides.

In Catalan, elecció derives from the Latin electio and is used to refer to the act of choosing, including political elections as well as general selections. Lelecció, by contrast, is typically the result of typographical error, autocorrect, or confused spelling, and it does not reflect a distinct linguistic concept or usage in formal contexts.

Usage and reception vary by context. In published or official material, lelecció is generally regarded as a mistake and corrected to elecció. In user-generated content, social media, or rapid drafting, readers may encounter lelecció, but it does not carry any accepted meaning beyond a misspelling of elecció.
