Leksikoloogia

Leksikoloogia is the branch of linguistics that studies vocabulary. It examines the nature of words, their origins, development, meanings, and relationships. Lexicology encompasses a wide range of topics, including the study of word formation, the history of words (etymology), semantic change, and the structure of a language's lexicon.

One key area of lexicology is the analysis of word meaning.
