LeVert

Levert is a term with several uses in language and onomastics. In Dutch, levert is the present tense form of leveren, meaning to deliver or provide. It is used with third-person singular subjects and with formal address (u levert). The form appears in everyday sentences such as Hij levert het pakket op tijd.

Levert is also a surname of Dutch origin. It is borne by individuals in various countries, including the American singer Gerald Levert (1966–2006). The surname has variants and is sometimes associated with families prominent in music and entertainment.

LeVert refers to a separate proper-noun use: LeVert was an American R&B group formed in the 1980s by Gerald Levert and Sean Levert, with their father Eddie Levert of The O’Jays. The group released several albums and singles during its active years and helped establish the Levert family as a notable voice in soul and R&B music.
