Lasitusyksikkö

Lasitusyksikkö is a Finnish term that translates to "glazing unit" or "insulating glass unit" in English. It refers to a sealed assembly of two or more panes of glass separated by a spacer bar and filled with air or an inert gas. This construction is commonly used in modern windows and doors to improve thermal insulation and reduce noise transmission.

The primary purpose of a lasitusyksikkö is to enhance energy efficiency. The air or gas trapped between the glass panes acts as an insulator, reducing heat transfer between the interior and exterior of a building.
