Lääkintöhallitus

Lääkintöhallitus was a central administrative authority in Finland responsible for public health and healthcare matters. Established in the 19th century, it played a crucial role in developing and overseeing the country's health system for over a century. Its responsibilities included organizing medical services, managing hospitals, controlling infectious diseases, and regulating the pharmaceutical industry.
