Kylmäkoneet
Kylmäkoneet, known in English as refrigeration units or chillers, are mechanical devices used to remove heat from a specific space or substance, thereby lowering its temperature. They operate on the principle of the vapor-compression refrigeration cycle, which involves the circulation of a refrigerant through a closed loop system. This cycle typically includes an evaporator, compressor, condenser, and expansion valve. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the space to be cooled in the evaporator, turns into a low-pressure gas, and is then compressed into a high-pressure, high-temperature gas. This gas releases its heat to the surroundings in the condenser, turning back into a liquid. The liquid then passes through an expansion valve, reducing its pressure and temperature before returning to the evaporator to repeat the cycle.
Kylmäkoneet are essential in a wide range of applications. In domestic settings, they are found in refrigerators
