Kraujagyslis
Kraujagyslis is a Lithuanian term that translates to "blood vessel." It refers to the network of arteries, veins, and capillaries that transport blood throughout the body. This vital system is responsible for delivering oxygen and nutrients to cells and removing waste products. Arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart, branching into smaller arterioles and then into microscopic capillaries where the exchange of gases and nutrients occurs. Deoxygenated blood is then collected by venules, which merge into larger veins, eventually returning to the heart. The health of the kraujagyslis is crucial for overall well-being, and conditions affecting these vessels, such as atherosclerosis or hypertension, can have serious health consequences.
