Kouroussa is a town and prefecture in eastern Guinea, located in the Kankan Region. It sits on the Milo River, a tributary of the Niger River. The town is a commercial center for the surrounding agricultural area, which produces rice, millet, and livestock. Historically, Kouroussa was an important trading post on the route between the Sudan and the coast.
