Kondensaatiotila
Kondensaatiotila refers to a state of matter where a substance transitions from a gaseous phase to a liquid phase. This process, known as condensation, typically occurs when the temperature of the gas decreases or the pressure increases, causing the gas molecules to lose kinetic energy and aggregate into a liquid. The specific conditions under which condensation happens are dictated by the substance's properties, such as its boiling point and vapor pressure. For example, water vapor in the atmosphere condenses to form clouds or dew when the air cools to its dew point. Similarly, steam from a kettle condenses on a cooler surface. In industrial processes, condensation is utilized for separation and purification of substances. The reverse process, evaporation or vaporization, is the transition from liquid to gas. Understanding condensation is crucial in various fields, including meteorology, chemistry, and engineering.
