Kompressorkjøleskap

Kompressorkjøleskap, also known as compressor refrigerators, are the most common type of refrigeration technology used in homes and businesses. They operate by using a refrigerant fluid that circulates through a closed system. The core component is the compressor, which pressurizes the refrigerant gas, increasing its temperature and causing it to move into the condenser coils. These coils are typically located on the back of the refrigerator and release heat into the surrounding environment, cooling the refrigerant.

The now cooler, liquefied refrigerant then flows through an expansion valve or capillary tube, where its pressure is suddenly reduced. This pressure drop causes the refrigerant to expand and cool significantly. This extremely cold refrigerant then enters the evaporator coils, which are located inside the refrigerator's cooling compartment. As the warm air from inside the refrigerator passes over these cold coils, the heat is absorbed by the refrigerant, thus cooling the interior space.

The refrigerant, now a gas again, returns to the compressor, and the cycle repeats. This continuous process of compression, condensation, expansion, and evaporation effectively transfers heat from the inside of the refrigerator to the outside, keeping the food and beverages stored within at a low temperature. Modern kompressorkjøleskap often incorporate features like variable speed compressors to improve energy efficiency and temperature stability.
