Kokonaisverenäytteet is a Finnish term that translates to "whole blood samples" in English. Whole blood samples are collected directly from a vein, typically using a needle and syringe or a vacuum-filled collection tube.

The composition of whole blood includes red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma.
