Kohdistamia

Kohdistamia is a Finnish grammatical form derived from the verb kohdistaa, which means "to direct", "to aim", "to allocate" or "to target". As a nominal or adjectival participle, kohdistama denotes an action that has been directed by an agent; kohdistamia is its plural partitive form and is used to describe multiple items, measures or effects that have been targeted or directed.

The form appears frequently in administrative, technical and journalistic language, where it modifies nouns such as toimenpiteitä (measures), resursseja (resources), mainoksia (advertisements) or mittauksia (measurements). For example, kohdistamia toimenpiteitä can be translated as "the measures (that were) targeted" or "targeted measures". In English contexts it is often rendered as "targeted", "directed" or "allocated", depending on the nuance.

Kohdistamia is common in formal reports, policy documents and statistical descriptions because it concisely links actions to their intended objects. Its use follows Finnish declension and agreement rules: the base participle kohdistama is inflected to match number, case and possession as required in a sentence.
