Koagulujce
Koagulujce, also known as coagulants, are substances used to induce coagulation, the process by which a liquid transforms into a gel or solid. This process is crucial in various fields, including medicine, food processing, and environmental science. In medicine, coagulants are used to stop bleeding by promoting the formation of blood clots. Common medical coagulants include thrombin, which is a protein that converts fibrinogen to fibrin, and aluminum sulfate, which is used to treat hemophilia. In food processing, coagulants are used to clarify liquids, such as wine or beer, by precipitating proteins and other impurities. Examples include gelatin, which is derived from animal collagen, and bentonite, a clay mineral. In environmental science, coagulants are used to remove suspended particles from water, a process known as coagulation-flocculation. Alum, a double sulfate salt of aluminum, is commonly used for this purpose. The choice of coagulant depends on the specific application and the nature of the liquid being treated.
