Kinidiini
Kinidiini is a medication primarily used to treat certain heart rhythm disorders, specifically atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, as well as ventricular tachycardias. It belongs to a class of drugs known as Class Ia antiarrhythmics. Kinidiini works by slowing down the electrical conduction within the heart and prolonging the time it takes for the heart muscle to repolarize. This action helps to restore a normal heart rhythm.
The drug is derived from cinchona bark, the same plant source as quinine. It is administered orally.
