It refers to the state where a liquid is heated to its boiling point, the temperature at which it begins to transform into vapor or gas. This phenomenon is commonly observed when heating water or other liquids.

The boiling point of a substance is a characteristic property and is dependent on atmospheric pressure. At standard atmospheric pressure, water boils at 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit). When a liquid reaches its boiling point, vigorous bubbling occurs as vapor forms within the liquid and rises to the surface.
