Khmelnytsky
Khmelnytsky is a city located in western Ukraine, serving as the administrative center of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast. It is situated on the banks of the Southern Bug River. Historically, the city was known by the name Proskuriv from 1493 until 1954. The renaming to Khmelnytsky honored Bohdan Khmelnytsky, a prominent 17th-century Cossack hetman.
