Keratinocytväxtfaktor, also known as KGF or FGF7, is a protein belonging to the fibroblast growth factor family. It is primarily produced by mesenchymal cells, such as fibroblasts, and plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of epithelial tissues. KGF acts by binding to its specific receptor, FGFR2b, which is predominantly found on the surface of keratinocytes.

Upon binding to its receptor, KGF triggers intracellular signaling pathways that promote keratinocyte proliferation, migration, and differentiation.
