Kansalaisiksi

Kansalaisiksi is a Finnish translative plural form of the noun kansalainen (citizen). It expresses a change of state or designation as citizens, and is used with verbs that indicate becoming or being recognized as such, or in phrases meaning “as citizens.”

Morphology and usage: The form is built on the stem kansalais- with the translative suffix -ksi, and in the plural it becomes kansalaisiksi. The corresponding singular form is kansalaiseksi.
