Kangsabati

The Kangsabati River, also known as the Kasai River, is a significant river in West Bengal, India. It originates in the Chota Nagpur Plateau in the Indian state of Jharkhand. The river flows through the districts of Purulia, Bankura, and Paschim Medinipur in West Bengal before meeting the Damodar River near Ghatal.

The Kangsabati River plays a crucial role in the irrigation system of the region. Several barrages and dams have been constructed on the river, most notably the Kangsabati Dam, to harness its water for agriculture.
