Közönségeladás

Közönségeladás is a Hungarian term that translates to "public sale" or "public offering." It refers to the process by which securities, such as stocks or bonds, are made available for purchase by the general public. This typically occurs through an initial public offering (IPO) for stocks or a public debt offering for bonds.

The primary purpose of a közönségeladás is to raise capital for a company or government entity. By selling securities to a wide range of investors, the issuer can access funds that can be used for expansion, research and development, debt repayment, or other strategic initiatives. It also provides an opportunity for early investors or founders to liquidate some of their holdings.

For investors, a közönségeladás offers a chance to acquire ownership stakes in a company or to lend money to an issuer in exchange for interest payments. The pricing and availability of securities during a public sale are determined by market conditions, the issuer's financial health, and investor demand.
