Jindal

Jindal refers to a prominent Indian business family and the various industrial groups associated with them. The most well-known among these is the Jindal Group, founded by O. P. Jindal. The group has diversified interests spanning steel, power, mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure. Over the years, the group has been divided among O. P. Jindal's sons, leading to separate entities like JSW Group, Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), and Jindal Stainless Limited.

The JSW Group, led by Sajjan Jindal, is a major player in steel, energy, infrastructure, and cement. Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), under Naveen Jindal, is also a significant force in the steel and power sectors. Jindal Stainless Limited, formerly a part of the larger group, focuses specifically on stainless steel production. The family's business activities have played a substantial role in India's industrial development.

Beyond business, members of the Jindal family have also been active in politics. O. P. Jindal himself was a Member of Parliament. His sons and other family members have also served in various political capacities in India. The Jindal name is therefore associated with both significant industrial enterprises and political involvement in the country.
