Jahutusvõrke

Jahutusvõrke, also known as cooling towers, are essential components in many industrial and commercial facilities used to dissipate waste heat into the atmosphere. They achieve this by cooling a water stream, which is then recirculated through a process. The fundamental principle behind their operation is evaporative cooling, where a small portion of the water evaporates, taking heat away from the remaining water.

There are several types of cooling towers, broadly categorized by how air is moved through them. Natural draft cooling towers rely on the buoyancy of warm, moist air rising through a tall, hyperbolic structure to draw in cooler air from below. Mechanical draft cooling towers, on the other hand, use fans to force or induce airflow. This can be further divided into forced draft and induced draft towers, depending on the fan's placement.

Cooling towers are vital for maintaining the efficiency and operational integrity of systems such as power plants, chemical processing plants, HVAC systems, and refrigeration units. Without effective heat dissipation, these systems can overheat, leading to reduced performance, increased energy consumption, and potential damage to equipment.
