Jørspallonite
Jørspallonite is a rare mineral belonging to the silicate group. Its chemical formula is typically represented as (Ca,REE)2(Na,Ca)2(Si4O10)2(OH,F)2·nH2O, although variations exist. It is characterized by the presence of calcium, sodium, and rare earth elements (REE), along with silicon, oxygen, hydroxyl, and fluorine. The presence of water molecules within its structure is also notable.
The mineral was first discovered in the Jørspall mine located in Norway, from which it derives its
Geologically, jørspallonite is considered a post-magmatic alteration product. Its rarity makes it a subject of interest
