Izomhüvelyek
Izomhüvelyek, also known as fascial sheaths or epimysia, are connective tissue coverings that surround skeletal muscles. These structures are composed of collagen and elastic fibers, providing support and organization to muscle tissue. Each muscle is encased in a dense layer of connective tissue called the epimysium, which blends into the perimysium. The perimysium, in turn, divides the muscle into bundles of muscle fibers called fascicles. Within each fascicle, individual muscle fibers are surrounded by another layer of connective tissue called the endomysium. This hierarchical organization allows for efficient transmission of force and protects the muscle fibers from damage. The fascial network extends throughout the body, connecting muscles to bones via tendons and also linking muscles to each other, playing a crucial role in movement and stability. Disruptions or adhesions within the izomhüvelyek can lead to pain and restricted mobility.
