Ishbibenob
Ishbibenob is a demon described in the Ars Goetia, the first section of the Lesser Key of Solomon, a grimoire of demonology. He is listed as the forty-first spirit in the order. According to the text, Ishbibenob is a Duke of Hell, commanding a legion of twenty-six infernal hosts. He is said to appear in the form of a roaring lion but can also take on human shape. His purported abilities include understanding the chirping of birds, the bleating of cattle, and the barking of dogs. He is also claimed to be able to reveal hidden treasures and to bring forth the answer to any question asked by his conjurer. The Ars Goetia describes him as a powerful spirit who can grant his summoner both wisdom and knowledge. He is also said to possess the power to drown people in rivers. Like many demons in the Ars Goetia, his description is brief and focuses on his appearance and the powers attributed to him by occult traditions.
