Inflammationsceller, also known as inflammatory cells or immune cells involved in inflammation, are a diverse group of specialized cells that play a crucial role in the body's immune response to injury, infection, or irritation. Their primary function is to detect and eliminate harmful stimuli, initiate tissue repair, and ultimately resolve the inflammatory process.

Key types of inflammationsceller include phagocytes such as neutrophils and macrophages. Neutrophils are typically the first responders, migrating rapidly to the site of inflammation to engulf and destroy pathogens and cellular debris. Macrophages, which develop from monocytes, are also phagocytic and play a role in clearing dead cells and initiating adaptive immune responses.
