Ikana

Ikana is an ancient, now-ruined kingdom in the fictional world of The Legend of Zelda, located in Ikana Canyon within the land of Termina. The population, known as the Ikana, built a prosperous monarchy renowned for its stone architecture and necromantic traditions. The kingdom's ruins are preserved on several sites in Ikana Canyon, including Ikana Castle and the Ikana Graveyard, as well as the Stone Tower Temple, a major dungeon that looms above the canyon. The Ikana Crown was associated with the royal family who governed the realm for generations.

The decline of Ikana is explained in the game's lore as the result of internal conflict and a catastrophic curse tied to the kingdom's magical artifacts, which corrupted both the living and the dead. After the fall, many Ikana citizens died or were transformed into undead forms such as gibdos and re-dead, leaving the region haunted and largely uninhabited. The kingdom's legacy persists in its ruins and in the artifacts found there, which players encounter during their quest in Majora's Mask.

In gameplay terms, Ikana serves as a central region that connects the normal and the shadowy sides of Termina. Players explore its graveyard, castle, and the Stone Tower Temple, solving puzzles and confronting undead guardians to restore balance to the land.
