IGHG2
IGHG2 refers to the gene encoding the human immunoglobulin G heavy chain 2. Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a type of antibody found in blood and other body fluids that helps the body fight infection. IgG antibodies are divided into four subclasses: IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, and IgG4. The IGHG2 gene is one of several genes located in the immunoglobulin heavy chain locus on chromosome 14. This locus contains a cluster of genes that are essential for the production of all types of immunoglobulin heavy chains.
The IGHG2 gene plays a role in the immune response by contributing to the production of IgG2
