Hitelességére

Hitelességére is a Hungarian grammatical construction meaning “to its credibility” or “as regards its credibility.” It is formed from the noun hitelesség (credibility, authenticity) with the allative suffix -ére, producing a postpositional phrase that signals the referent of evaluation or the focus of discourse.

In use, hitelességére marks that a statement, claim, or piece of information is being considered in relation to the credibility of something—its source, document, or assertion. It is common in formal or analytical writing, such as journalism, philosophy, or source criticism, where authors discuss whether evidence or claims hold up against the credibility of the referenced item. The expression can occur on its own after a verb of reference or be part of a larger phrase, for example: hitelességére hivatkozva (referring to its credibility), vagy a hitelességére vonatkozó megállapítások (statements concerning its credibility).
