Hemisférios

Hemisférios refers to the two halves into which the Earth is divided. Typically, these divisions are based on latitude or longitude. The most common division is into the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere, separated by the Equator. The Northern Hemisphere encompasses all landmasses and oceans north of the Equator, while the Southern Hemisphere is located south of it. This division is significant for climate, seasons, and biogeography, as the amount of sunlight received varies greatly between the two.

Another important division is into the Eastern Hemisphere and the Western Hemisphere, separated by the Prime Meridian (0 degrees longitude) and the International Date Line (180 degrees longitude). The Eastern Hemisphere includes most of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia, while the Western Hemisphere contains the Americas and parts of the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans.
