Halmazállapotúra

Halmazállapotúra is a Hungarian term that translates to "phase" or "state of matter" in English when referring to physical substances. It describes the distinct forms that matter can take, primarily influenced by temperature and pressure. The most common states of matter are solid, liquid, and gas. In a solid state, particles are tightly packed and have a fixed shape and volume. In a liquid state, particles are still close together but can move past one another, allowing for a definite volume but an indefinite shape. In the gaseous state, particles are far apart and move randomly, resulting in both indefinite shape and volume. Beyond these three, other states exist, such as plasma, a superheated ionized gas, and Bose-Einstein condensates, which occur at extremely low temperatures. Transitions between these states, like melting, freezing, boiling, and condensation, are fundamental concepts in chemistry and physics.
