Håndroten
Håndroten refers to the wrist in Norwegian. It is the complex joint connecting the hand to the forearm. Anatomically, it comprises the distal ends of the radius and ulna (the forearm bones) and the proximal row of carpal bones (scaphoid, lunate, triquetrum, and pisiform). The articulation allows for a wide range of movements, including flexion, extension, radial deviation, and ulnar deviation, as well as pronation and supination of the forearm.
The wrist joint is supported by numerous ligaments that provide stability and allow for precise control of
Injuries to the håndroten are common and can range from sprains and strains to fractures and dislocations.
