Gáztudomány

Gáztudomány, also known as gas science or the science of gases, is a branch of physics and chemistry that studies the properties and behavior of gases. It encompasses a wide range of phenomena, including the relationships between pressure, volume, temperature, and the amount of a gas, as well as the microscopic behavior of gas molecules.

Key concepts within gáztudomány include the ideal gas law, which describes the behavior of hypothetical ideal gases, and the kinetic theory of gases. The kinetic theory explains macroscopic properties like pressure and temperature in terms of the motion of individual gas particles. Real gases deviate from ideal behavior due to intermolecular forces and the finite volume of gas molecules, phenomena that are also explored in gáztudomány.

The field investigates various states and processes involving gases, such as diffusion, effusion, viscosity, and thermal conductivity.
