Grauwertintensität

Grauwertintensität is a measure of the intensity of gray in a color or image. It is a visual perception phenomenon where the perceived brightness or lightness of a gray color is influenced by the surrounding colors. In technical terms, Grauwertintensität refers to the effect of the colors that are significantly surrounding the gray area to produce an apparent change in brightness.

Experiments have shown that the Grauwertintensität is dependent on the brightness and the hue of the surrounding colors. The effect of Grauwertintensität can largely be characterized by the overall interplay between the color of the gray area, the colors surrounding it, as well as the baselines themselves.
