Gondoclève

Gondoclève is a commune located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of southwestern France. The commune is situated approximately 66 kilometers south of the city of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and 34 kilometers north of the city of Oloron-Sainte-Marie.

Gondoclève has a total land area of 7.97 square kilometers and a population of around 328 residents. The commune is served by a post office and a Mairie (town hall), which houses the local administration and a small library.

The terrain in Gondoclève is characterized by hills and small valleys, with a wide range of flora and fauna. The commune's elevation varies between 160 meters and 380 meters above sea level. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture, with livestock farming and cereal production being the main activities.

A 12th-century church, Sanctuaire Notre Dame de Bon Secours, is located in the commune and houses a 17th-century statue of the Virgin Mary. Additionally, the commune features a spring, Source de reignaurdigue, and a small river, Ruisseau de Reignaurdigue, which serves as a tributary of the Gave d'Oloron river.

Gondoclève has few amenities, but it offers stunning views of the surrounding region.
