Golmerbahn

The Golmerbahn is a cable car system located in the Montafon valley in Vorarlberg, Austria. It connects the village of Vandans to the Golm mountain area. The Golmerbahn consists of two sections. The first section, known as the Golmerbahn I, starts from Vandans and ascends to the middle station at Matschwitz. This section is a gondola lift. From Matschwitz, the second section, the Golmerbahn II, continues the ascent to the mountain station at Hochegg. This second section is also a gondola lift.

The Golmerbahn is a popular attraction for both summer and winter tourists. In the summer, it provides access to hiking trails, panoramic views, and the Alpine Coaster "Alpine-Xpress" and the "Flying-Fox-Golm". The mountain area offers a variety of activities for families and outdoor enthusiasts. During the winter season, the Golmerbahn serves as a gateway to the Golm ski area, which is part of the larger Montafon ski region. The ski area is known for its diverse slopes, including challenging runs and family-friendly areas. The Golmerbahn is a key component of the tourism infrastructure in the Montafon, facilitating access to the recreational opportunities offered by the Golm mountain.
