Gaseffekt
Gaseffekt refers to the phenomenon where certain gases in the Earth's atmosphere trap heat. These gases, known as greenhouse gases, allow sunlight to pass through and warm the Earth's surface. The Earth then radiates heat back into space, but greenhouse gases absorb some of this outgoing infrared radiation and re-emit it in all directions, including back towards the Earth. This process slows down the rate at which heat escapes into space, leading to a warming of the planet's surface and lower atmosphere.
