Fuusiosplicingiin

Fuusiosplicingiin refers to a biological process where two distinct messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules are joined together. This occurs due to an error during the splicing process, which is normally responsible for removing non-coding regions (introns) from a single pre-mRNA molecule and joining the coding regions (exons). In the case of fusiosplicingiin, the splicing machinery incorrectly recognizes splice sites on different pre-mRNA transcripts, leading to their ligation.

This phenomenon can arise from several mechanisms. One common cause is the presence of repetitive DNA sequences or short interspersed nuclear elements (SINEs) that can form secondary structures, bringing together distant splice sites from different transcripts.
