Formësuat is a term used in Albanian linguistic and technical contexts to describe something that has undergone shaping or forming. It is typically used as an adjectival or participial form referring to objects, surfaces, or structures that bear the result of a forming process.

Etymology and forms: The root formë means form or shape, and it is linked to the verb formësoj, meaning to shape. The related participle formësuar conveys the sense of “shaped” or “formed.” Formësuat appears as a variant or dialectal inflected form in some registers. In Modern Standard Albanian, the standard participle is formësuar, while formësuan is used for certain past-tense constructions; formësuat is less common and mainly encountered in historical or regional usage.

Usage: In technical and artisanal discourse, formësuar and the related noun formësimi (the act of shaping) are the preferred terms. Formësuat may be employed to denote the result state for plural or specific grammatical contexts in older or dialectal texts. In descriptions of manufactured parts, sculptures, or architectural elements, phrases such as “pjesë të formësuara” (formed parts) illustrate the intended meaning.

Examples: Objektet janë formësuar për të arritur profilin e dëshiruar. Nga ana tjetër, materialet formësuara mbajnë karakteristika të sipërfaqes së kontrolluar. In dialectal usage, formësuat mund të shërbejë si një shprehje e kaluar për një grup objekte të formësuar.
