Finnougrian
Finnougrian is a historical term used to describe the Finno-Ugric language group within the Uralic language family. In this framework, Finnougrian encompasses two major lineages: Finnic and Ugric. Finnic languages include Finnish, Estonian, Karelian, Votic, Veps, and Livonian, among others; Ugric languages include Hungarian, Khanty, and Mansi. The Sami languages are sometimes treated as Finnic in older classifications but are often placed in their own branch within Finno-Ugric or Finno-Samic, depending on the scheme.
