Filme

Filme is a motion picture, a sequence of photographed images presented in rapid succession to create the illusion of movement, typically accompanied by sound. The word is used in Portuguese and many other languages as the term for a film or movie. A film may be produced for entertainment, education, or art, and can be distributed through cinemas, television, home video, or digital streaming.

The art and industry of filmmaking developed in the late 19th century with pioneers such as the Lumière brothers and Thomas Edison. Early films were short, silent, and black-and-white; sound and synchronized dialogue arrived in the late 1920s, followed by color processes.
