FcRIlle

FcRIlle is a gene that encodes a protein belonging to the Fc receptor family. Fc receptors are a group of immune receptors that are found on the surface of cells of the immune system, such as phagocytes and lymphocytes. They bind to the Fc region of antibodies, which are proteins produced by the immune system to identify and neutralize foreign objects like bacteria and viruses.

The protein produced by the FcRIlle gene is specifically involved in binding to immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies.
