Fallmuster
Fallmuster refers to a German military camouflage pattern. The most well-known iteration is the splinter camouflage known as *Flecktarn*, which is a six-color pattern featuring irregular shapes and sharp edges. This pattern was developed in the 1930s and saw widespread use during World War II. Another notable pattern is the *Splittermuster*, also a splinter design, which was introduced slightly later. These patterns were designed to break up the silhouette of soldiers and equipment in various environments, particularly forests and woodlands. The effectiveness of Fallmuster patterns contributed to their influence on subsequent camouflage designs. After the war, variations and adaptations of these patterns were used by various military forces, including those of East and West Germany. The distinctive look of Fallmuster has also made it popular in civilian clothing and outdoor gear.
