Estáis

Estáis is the second-person plural present indicative form of the Spanish verb estar, used with the subject pronoun vosotros. It means "you are" in English and is characteristic of dialects that retain the vosotros form, notably in Spain and parts of the Spanish-speaking world. In much of Latin America, the corresponding form is ustedes están, since vosotros is rarely used there.

Grammatically, estar expresses temporary states, conditions, or locations. With vosotros, estáis is used to describe a current state or location: "Estáis muy ocupados" (You are very busy), "¿Dónde estáis?" (Where are you all?). It also forms present continuous constructions with the gerund: "estáis estudiando" (you are studying), "estáis trabajando" (you are working).

Spelling and pronunciation: estáis carries an accent on the a to indicate stress on the last syllable (es-táis).

Regional note: The vosotros/estáis form is standard in Spain; in Latin America, ustedes están is used for both formal and informal address, and vuestra forma vosotros/estáis is rarely heard outside educational contexts or regional communities.
