Erikoistain, or specialized stains, are chemical solutions used in various scientific and medical fields to enhance the visibility of specific structures or components within biological samples. These stains are essential tools in histology, microbiology, and pathology, enabling researchers to differentiate between different tissues, cells, or microorganisms under a microscope.

One of the most widely recognized erikoistain is hematoxylin and eosin (H&E), a combination stain used primarily in histology. Hematoxylin stains cell nuclei blue-purple, while eosin stains the extracellular matrix and cytoplasm pink, providing a clear contrast between different tissue components.
