Eotungid
Eotungid is a genus of extinct herbivorous mammals that lived during the Oligocene epoch in North America. These animals were part of the pantodont group, an order of primitive ungulates that were widespread during the Paleocene and Eocene epochs. Eotungid species are characterized by their relatively small size compared to some of their larger pantodont relatives, such as Coryphodon.
Fossil remains of Eotungid have been found in various Oligocene deposits, providing insights into their anatomy
