Energiatõendid

Energiatõendid are energy performance certificates used in Estonia. These documents provide information about the energy efficiency of a building, indicating how much energy it consumes for heating, ventilation, lighting, and hot water. The purpose of an energiatõend is to inform potential buyers or tenants about the energy performance of a property, allowing them to compare different buildings and make informed decisions.

The energy performance is expressed through an energy performance class, typically ranging from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). This classification is based on calculated energy consumption per square meter per year. The certificate also includes recommendations for improving the energy efficiency of the building, such as insulation upgrades, window replacements, or the installation of more efficient heating systems.

Energiatõendid are mandatory for new buildings, buildings undergoing major renovations, and buildings that are being sold or rented out. The process of obtaining an energiatõend involves a qualified energy auditor who assesses the building's characteristics and performs the necessary calculations. The aim of implementing energiatõendid is to promote energy conservation, reduce energy consumption, and lower greenhouse gas emissions in the building sector. This contributes to achieving national and European energy efficiency goals.
